The Samsung Smart search platform makes it easier than ever before for potential customers to access your products through Samsung mobile devices. Smart search does away with the need for a complicated browsing application. Instead, users can search for a range of 3rd party content through the fully integrated, Java-based, Smart search client. This intuitive client is easy to use and has a variety of search functions, such as 'keyword' and 'most popular', which make finding what you want a fast and seamless experience for the user.


The key to Smart search lies in the Samsung Smart search Server that provides a bridge between the client on the mobile device and the content that resides on the Content Providers' (CP) servers. This powerful middleware can link a range of content directly to Samsung devices including:

• Graphics and video
  Deliver rich media such as video, custom themes and wallpaper, and Flash animation directly through the Smart Phone Platform.

• Games and applications
  The open XML standards of the Smart search mean that applications can be delivered to the device, regardless of whether they are written in Symbian, Java, or Flash.

• Audio
  Smart search can include audio formats such as music, ring-tones and audio-books.

• Mobile marketing
  The easy to use Smart search client provides a way to make your marketing material even more accessible to a mobile audience.

Smart search is available on the following Samsung mobile devices:

• U600, U700, U800, U900, F480, D900i, G600, G800, E840, E950
• Embedded versions for Symbian and Windows Mobile devices will be available in early 2009.

In addition to content search, Smart search will provide the following fuctionality for mobile devices..

• Phone search
  One stop search for all the phone data like contacts, message, game, multimedia file, PIMs
• WEB search
  Access a WEB search service like Yahoo or Google without the use of a WAP/WEB Browser
