Library : Technical note: Python on Samsung S60
PyS60 is a Nokia sponsored open source project to port the Python programming language to S60. The project releases full source code as well as pre-built versions of the ported language runtime and scripting shell. The latest information about the project can be tracked at the project wiki page.
The Python runtimes are intended to install on S60 Third Edition devices from any vendor. The latest release also supports 5th Edition devices.
This Technical Note summarises the compatibility status of current PyS60 releases with Samsung devices.
The attached file PythonForS60_1_4_5_3rdEd-smi.zip contains a Samsung signed version of the Python runtime that enables the PyS60-1.45 release to install on Samsung phones.
