Tools : Samsung SDK Extension - S60 3rd Edition, FP2
The Samsung SDK Extension for S60 3rd Edition, FP2, enables developers to use two new Samsung APIs in their applications:
- G-Sensor API, enables applications to access 3-axis accelerometer data from onboard hardware
- Optical Joystick API, enables applications to choose mouse-style interaction mode with on-screen cursor
Both APIs are open to third party applications on Samsung FP2 phones, including the new i8510.
The SDK Extension is easy to install and includes full API documentation and example code. To ease the development process, a customised Samsung i8510 emulator supporting both new APIs is included. The package also includes an SDK switcher utility that makes it easy to work with multiple installed SDKs.
